Igneous if formed by magma also known as molten rock cools and hardens. Magma sometimes cools inside the earth but can also cool outside when it erupts from a volcano in lava form. When the lava cools quickly no bubble will form and it looks as though the rock is shiny and has a glassy finish. Sometimes air bubbles are trapped inside the rock making tiny holes and spaces throughout the rock.
